RECONNECT SYRIAN STUDENTS

The Jamiya Project provides relevant and accessible higher education for Syrian refugees by reconnecting them with Syrian academics, European universities and the latest education technology.

PROJECTS

PILOT SPOCS in JORDAN

With the University of Gothenburg, the Jamiya Project is running two pilot 'Small Private Online Courses' (SPOCs) in Jordan, developed by Syrian and Swedish academics, delivered using a blended learning method. The courses are in Applied IT and Global studies, delivered in Arabic and certified by the University of Gothenburg.

JAMIYA VOCAPP

With Empower Hack, the Jamiya Project is developing a mobile app to help Syrian refugee students with academic language learning when accessing courses in a foreign language. VocApp will provide key references for a subject, an online learning community of Syrian academics and students, and vocabulary micro-learning system.

SIGN UP AS AN ACADEMIC

We're recruiting Syrian academics based in the Middle East, Europe and elsewhere to work with us on developing courses, online teaching and in-person tuition.
